An unstoppable performance from Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato ensured that FURIA came out on top in the domestic matchup. FURIA have bounced back from their opening round loss to BIG by trouncing fellow Brazilian side 00NATION 16-6 on Mirage in the 0-1 pool, a match which started out with Epitacio "TACO" de Melo and company taking an early lead but quickly gave way to FURIA taking a swift victory off the back of an inspired showing from KSCERATO. Outsiders shut down a near upset from IHC in the other 0-1 matchup, a map in which the Mongolian side seemed to be taking the upper hand in the closing moments before an ace from Petr "fame" Bolyshev turned the tides. The win allows Outsiders some respite following their one-sided opening match loss to MOUZ, but they'll need to come back in much better form if they hope to advance to the Legends Stage. KSCERATO kicked things off with a quad kill in the pistol round to put FURIA in control on Mirage, but a swift response from 00NATION followed as they won three rounds in response to briefly take the lead. From that point onward there was little to write home about for Marcelo "coldzera" David's side though, with uncharacteristic mistakes resulting in them dropping a number of man advantages and KSCERATO scoring multi-kill rounds time and time again as FURIA secured an 11-4 lead at halftime. KSCERATO didn't let up after the side swap either, grabbing multi-kills in four of the next seven rounds to bring victory the way of FURIA in short order, taking the win 16-6. IHC kicked off their match against Outsiders with a pistol round victory and subsequent conversion, but struggled to get past Dzhami "Jame" Ali's AWP and the rifles of fame and Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev for the next seven rounds. The Russian team's firm lead didn't last, however, and IHC began to find gaps in the defenses to close the deficit to only trail 6-9 heading into the side swap. IHC won the second pistol round of the map as well, using the momentum of the win to pull ahead of Outsiders at 11-10. A double kill into a 5vs3 had IHC poised to extend their lead, but an ace from fame completely turned the tides of both the round and the map, reinvigorating his side as Outsiders found their footing. What looked to be an upset in the making from the Mongolian team slipped away, and Outsiders lost just one round from there on out, closing the map 16-12.00NATION
